The obligatory “Hello world!” post

My new site is now up and running. Before I was content to lurk and read articles anonymously, but after encouragement from MarloElaine and seeing what was being posted out there, I felt it’s time to get my voice into the mix. I’ll start with the disclaimer that this site is far from being where I like it. Thankfully the skills I have developed from being in the IT field helped me get the site up and running while I strayed away from the nation-wide heat wave (can someone say global warming?!). How do you get a site like this up? Here’s what I used:

• Namecheap domain registration
• A Small Orange domain hosting
• Wordpress blogging software

Now onto finding plugins and themes to use.
