1st snow of the season

1st snow of the winter season in Chicago hit, and boy was Old Man Winter mad. I think Mother Nature didn’t call him back or something. I’ve lived in the Chicagoland area most of my life and I still don’t understand why our “driving in bad weather IQ’s” fall 10 points at the start of every winter. If it’s blizzard conditions, with ice, snow, and slush… SLOW DOWN!

Rather than be one of those people stuck on the Stevenson (I-55 for all you out-of-towners) I took the train, which I haven’t done in a while. Riding the Metra always reminds of some movie like Equilibrium where everyone’s living in a controlling society that takes fun out of the color gray. C’mon, as my co-worker puts it - he’s never seen a place where there’s so many people that are sitting in complete silence. Then upon arrival to the station, we exit and walk down the halls slowly with looks of doom as we inch closer to our offices.

Neo, where are you?!

In the meantime, I saw this at my station when I got home late last night.
